Food Smart is a family of nutrition software, offering four separate editions in order to provide solutions for every level of use:
Home Edition - $49.95 CDN/US
The Home
Edition of the Food Smart family is designed to meet the personal needs of
people using a computer at home. It provides complete analysis for food
items, recipes, menus and supports the addition of personal daily intake records
for up to twelve people.
On-screen reports and graphs quickly summarize the nutrient content of the food
items you choose, and help demonstrate how dramatic the benefits can be from
making minor food item substitutions.
The Home Edition is best suited for people currently following, or helping to manage a restricted diet, as well as those who are simply interested in learning more about the foods they eat.
Fitness Edition - $145.00 CDN / $99.95 US
The Fitness Edition of the Food Smart
family is designed to meet the needs of professionals involved in sports
nutrition, fitness instruction, nutrition education, as well as corporate
wellness initiatives.
This edition includes support for tracking up to 25 client profiles, providing
the ability to devise personalized nutrition plans and goals. Complete
nutritional analysis can be performed on individual foods and recipes, as well
as menus and daily intake records.
Use the integrated calendar window to monitor your clients’ progress for
weight loss and exercise participation, over any period of time. You can even
customize the list of exercises to compliment your own training routines.
Business Edition - $445.00 CDN / $295.00 US
Licensed for commercial recipe and menu development and publication, the Business Edition provides additional features for recording and protecting recipe and menu authorship information. It also supports customized meal lists for menu development.
Unlike the Home and Fitness Editions, this edition is licensed for commercial use within the food manufacturing and recreation/hospitality industries.
Professional Edition - $595.00 CDN / $395.00 US
The Professional Edition extends the basic client profile record by including several new areas of data entry, including medical, diet and weight histories, follow-up notes, detailed Diabetes management records, as well as customizable daily nutrient recommendations. It supports the tracking of an unlimited number of client profiles.
The Professional Edition is the only edition licensed for professional use within the healthcare industry.
